The Colorado Supreme Court ruled to remove Trump from the 2024 presidential ballot, citing his actions on January 6, 2021.

The decision was met with criticism from various Republicans, including presidential candidates Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley, who condemned the ruling as an abuse of power and called for it to be reversed.

Other Republicans, such as John Barrasso, Justin Amash, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Tom Cotton, also denounced the decision, labeling it as an assault on due process and an attempt to prevent voters from choosing the next president. (Trending: FBI Bribery Probe Caught Joe Biden’s Brother On Tape)

The Court said in its ruling that the 4-3 ruling will be placed on hold pending appeal until January 4,.

“A majority of the court holds that President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution,” wrote the justices.

“Because he is disqualified, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Colorado Secretary of State to list him as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot,” continued the ruling.

“The Left invokes ‘democracy’ to justify its use of power, even if it means abusing judicial power to remove a candidate from the ballot based on spurious legal grounds,” wrote Gov. DeSantis in response to the ruling.”

“SCOTUS should reverse,” he insisted.

Haley said she will “beat him fair and square” and does not “need to have judges making these decisions”.

Sen. John Barrasso knocked the move as a, “blatant, political attempt to silence American voters.”

“SCOTUS will rightly dispose of it in an ash heap,” Barrasso added.

Former Independent Rep. Justin Amash said that the “opinion of the Colorado Supreme Court is shameful and runs completely counter to our constitutional system.”

“Donald Trump was not removed from office by Congress for engaging in insurrection,” he continued.

“Donald Trump has not been criminally convicted in a court of law of engaging in insurrection,” said Amash.

“Whatever you believe about whether Donald Trump engaged in insurrection has no bearing on whether he’s eligible to run for president,” argued the former lawmaker.

“No legislative, executive, or judicial body of a state should engage in extraconstitutional decision-making to disqualify a federal candidate from the ballot,” he continued.

Adding, “This isn’t accountability; it’s an assault on due process of law,” he concluded. “It undermines our electoral system and threatens every federal candidate for office.”

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was also displeased, saying, “Every American should be troubled by the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove President Trump from the ballot.”

“This ruling is garbage,” contributed Sen. Ted Cruz.

“This WILL be appealed to the Supreme Court & the Supreme Court WILL reverse it,” wrote the Texas Republican.

Adding, “To every Dem & media outlet saying ‘save Democracy,’ this is a test: Will you denounce these partisan judges trying to PREVENT THE VOTERS from choosing the next President?”

Sen. Mike Lee posted on X, “One thing is clear: this will help Donald Trump.”

“Do these Colorado clowns in black robes not realize that?” asked the Utah senator.

“The Colorado Resistance judges want to Save Democracy by blocking an election,” added Arkansas Republican, Sen. Tom Cotton.

“These disgraceful hacks should be condemned by every American—Republican and Democrat. The Supreme Court should immediately strike down this unAmerican stunt,” demanded Cotton.
