A recent poll shows President Joe Biden leading Donald Trump by 2 points among likely voters in the 2024 general election, but trailing by 2 points among registered voters.

Trump is currently leading the Republican primary field and is expected to be the nominee.

While Biden has a lead among young likely voters, Trump holds a lead in the 18-29 age group among registered voters. (Trending: Bud Light Gets Bad News Ahead of Christmas)

“Biden also leads Trump with people ages 18-29 who are likely voters, 47% to 44%. But the once Democratic stronghold goes for Trump 49% to 43% among registered voters,” the report noted.

The two candidates have been in a close race, often within the margin of error, with Trump leading in pivotal swing states.

Biden’s campaign is focusing on battleground states with targeted advertising and specific policy emphases to counter Trump’s lead.
