Recent polls show Donald Trump leading President Biden in the 2024 presidential election, with a significant lead among younger voters.
Despite this, Democrats are publicly unfazed, expressing skepticism about the usefulness of polling and emphasizing the long time remaining until the election.
“I think polling is increasingly useless,” Rep. Pat Ryan (D-NY) said. (Trending: FBI Bribery Probe Caught Joe Biden’s Brother On Tape)
“If we haven’t taken that away from the last few elections, I don’t know how much more we need to see.”
“What are we, 11 months out from the next election? I mean, that’s a double eternity in politics,” Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA) said.
There are private concerns among Democrats about the polls, especially in competitive races.
Additionally, polls indicate widespread reservations about Biden’s age, while Trump’s lead in the GOP primary polls is increasing.
“Everyone’s reading the polls, everybody sees,” Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) said, noting that Democrats in “Frontline” races “won’t say it publicly, most likely, because that’s cutting off your nose to spite your face. But I think they’re all feeling the same thing.”
