James McCaffrey, best known for voicing Max Payne in the video game series, has passed away at 65 after battling cancer.

He had a successful 35-year career in television and film, with notable roles in “Rescue Me,” “Entourage,” and various other TV shows and movies.

“One of Dick Wolf’s proteges (“”Swift Justice), McCaffrey went on to a successful 35 year career in television and film,” a representative wrote.
