Minnie Payne, a 90-year-old woman, recently earned her master’s degree from the University of North Texas.
She expressed her philosophy of constantly doing something constructive and her desire to improve herself, which led her to pursue further education.

“Payne recently got a new job working at a magazine in Houston to keep doing something constructive which is her guiding philosophy,” a News 4 report noted.
Similarly, another 90-year-old great-grandmother, Joyce Defauw, graduated from Northern Illinois University, completing her studies online with the help of her children.
Joyce Defauw said, “I guess I mentioned I was upset that I didn’t finish school and my children encouraged me to go back.”
“I’ve learned that I can do things I never thought I could do, with the help of others,” she said.
Both women’s stories highlight the importance of perseverance and the ability to achieve new things with support from others.
