Former FBI counterintelligence official Charles McGonigal was sentenced to four years in prison for accepting payments from Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who is under U.S. sanctions.

McGonigal’s involvement in the Trump-Russia probe and his ties to the investigation of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page were highlighted.
