A massive and secretive construction project is taking place on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, led by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta.
The 1,400-acre compound, known as Koolau Ranch, is shrouded in secrecy, with workers bound by strict nondisclosure agreements and facing consequences for sharing information on social media.
The project, estimated to cost over $270 million, includes an underground shelter, its own energy and food supplies, and has been surrounded by legal and political maneuvering. (Trending: Ousted Democrat Who Filmed Explicit Tape Blames Homophobia)
Zuckerberg is building a $270m estate in Hawaii, one of the most expensive developments of all time.
Not only does this include two main houses but it also features a 5,000sq ft underground bunker, akin to a bomb shelter. Rather an interesting thing to put at your house…

The development has raised concerns about its impact on the local community and the level of transparency.
The development, surrounded by rumors and speculation, includes two large mansions, a network of treehouses, a gym, pools, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, tennis court, and multiple guest houses.
The plans also reveal the presence of a 5,000-square-foot underground shelter, equipped with living space, a mechanical room, and extensive security features such as cameras, keypad-operated doors, and soundproofing.
The compound aims to be self-sufficient, with its own water tank and food production capabilities.
Mark Zuckerberg’s spokesperson declined to comment on the project’s size or bunker-like qualities.
“It’s fight club. We don’t talk about fight club,” said David, a former contract employee.
“Anything posted from here, they get wind of it right away.”
