A village council member in western Ukraine detonated three hand grenades during a meeting, critically injuring himself and at least two dozen attendees.
The man, identified as Serhii Batryn, a council member belonging to President Zelensky’s party, nonchalantly pulled the pin of the grenades during a budget discussion.

The motive of the attack remains unknown.
