Michigan law enforcement has formed a new task force, SEM CAB, to address an increase in upscale neighborhood burglaries by foreign gangs.

These transnational gangs use sophisticated methods, such as jammers to overcome wireless security systems, to target high-end homes, jewelry stores, and cars.

The gangs, mostly from Latin America, are non-confrontational and aim to quickly enter and exit homes. (Trending: Ousted Democrat Who Filmed Explicit Tape Blames Homophobia)

The task force involves multiple state and federal law enforcement agencies, along with various local police departments and the FBI. The goal is to combat the surge in criminal activity.

“They reportedly use a jammer to overcome wireless security systems that depend on WiFi to operate,” the report said.

“The crews are all dressed in black, with backpacks, and gloves. Bouchard says they are non-confrontational and their goal is to get in and out of the homes quickly.”

The gangs are “mostly from Latin America,” the report added.
