Wendy’s is integrating AI technology, called “Wendy’s FreshAI,” in their drive-thru services, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud.

The AI system aims to provide a personalized and responsive experience for each customer.

This move reflects a broader trend of AI adoption in the fast-food industry, with competitors also exploring similar technologies. (Trending: Joe Biden Impeachment Formalized As Republicans Unite)

“Wendy’s FreshAI is not just a speaker and a microphone. It’s a personalized, responsive experience for every customer,” Wendy’s chief technology officer Matt Spessard said.

While AI offers advantages such as reducing labor needs and improving operational efficiency, challenges remain, particularly in handling complex customer orders influenced by regional dialects and accents.

“There are more than 200 billion ways to order a Dave’s Double,” Spessard admitted.

Wendy’s plans to extend the AI technology to more restaurants and offer it to franchisees for testing in the near future.
