Netflix has released its first-ever comprehensive viewership report, detailing hours viewed for over 18,000 titles from January to June 2023.

The top five most-watched titles include “The Night Agent,” “Ginny & Georgia,” “The Glory,” “Wednesday,” and “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.”

This move towards transparency follows a lack of data sharing that contributed to the WGA strike. (Trending: Joe Biden Impeachment Formalized As Republicans Unite)

Netflix hopes this information will provide deeper insights for creators and the industry.

Co-CEO Ted Sarandos emphasized that viewing hours are an effective measure of engagement, aligning Netflix with industry standards.

“This is a big step forward for Netflix and our industry. We believe the viewing information in this report — combined with our weekly Top 10 and Most Popular lists — will give creators and our industry deeper insights into our audiences, and what resonates with them,” the memo reads.

“It’s easy to understand. It mirrors third parties like Nielsen in the US, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said.

“It makes Netflix very easy to compare to other streaming services.”
