Jill Biden invited a tap dance troupe to the White House for the Christmas decorations unveiling, but the group’s radical left activism and promotion of defunding police and abolishing law enforcement and prisons have sparked controversy.
The group’s negative focus on “white people” and association with Black Lives Matter and far-left legal organizations has drawn heavy criticism.
The founder, Michelle Dorrance, openly discusses her “white privilege” and socio-political beliefs. (Trending: Kid Rock Rages Against ‘Woke’ Target)

“I am a white tap dancer with Black cultural ancestors in a society that privileges white people and whiteness,” Dorrance wrote. “Why antiracism work is important to me.”
“I am easy for white audiences wanting to access and experience elements of Black culture to swallow.”
“My whiteness is the reason you may have heard of me before two of my inspirations” — black dancers Ayodele Casel and Dormeshia.
“It is imperative for me, and those who look like me, to acknowledge that,” the dancers said. “It is imperative for us to fight against racist norms that have defined American culture since its very origin.”
The troupe’s performance of a tap-dance version of the “Nutcracker” ballet received ridicule for its post-modern take.
The troupe has been involved in social justice activities related to the dance world.
