“If the election was today … I wouldn’t be voting for Biden,” confessed Delaware state Rep. Madinah Wilson-Anton.
“I wouldn’t be voting for Kamala Harris,” continued the state rep.
“I wouldn’t be voting for [Donald] Trump, either, or whoever the Republicans’ nominee.”
“I’ll be voting for a candidate for governor. I’ll be voting for myself for state rep.,” she exclaimed.
“I was like, there’s no way this is real,” recalled Wilson-Anton about being invited to Harris’ house.
Wilson-Anton, reportedly wore a headscarf that said “Ceasefire” to the event. She reportedly heckled Harris, shouting, “I’m a state rep. from Delaware — did you know that in Bethlehem, they’re not celebrating Christmas … that baby Jesus is under rubble?”
Wilson-Anton emphasized the need for the administration to change its stance on the Israel-Palestine issue to regain support from Muslim and Arab Americans.
“I appreciate that you want to be heard, but right now, I’m speaking,” Harris responded, while security removed Wilson-Anton from the event.
“If they want Muslim and Arab Americans to support Biden in 2024, then Biden needs to switch course,” demanded Wilson-Anton.
“He needs to start messaging that he actually cares about Palestinian lives, that he actually cares about human rights, by stopping this continued funding of the Israeli military,” she continued.
The Biden administration has started to shift its pro-Israel stance amid criticism but has not explicitly called for a ceasefire.
Biden recently admitted that “they’re starting to lose that support by the indiscriminate bombing that takes place.”
