Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer blamed his client’s “unintelligible” objections on his age during a defamation trial, but Seth Meyers criticized this excuse, stating that Giuliani’s age shouldn’t be used as a reason for his actions.
Giuliani, 79, is being sued by Georgia election workers for allegedly lying about them after Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss.
Meyers joked that the court case is going poorly for Giuliani.
“You don’t get to use his age as an excuse,” Meyers said.
“Nobody told Rudy to spend his golden years committing crimes, defaming election workers, and trying to destroy American democracy,” he added.
“I’m no lawyer,” said Meyers, “but it doesn’t sound like this court case is going especially well for Rudy.”
