Rudy Giuliani faced criticism in court for making disparaging remarks about the plaintiffs’ counsel in his defamation trial.
Federal Judge Beryl Howell admonished Giuliani for violating a court stipulation by commenting on the case.
Giuliani referred to the case as a “political hit job” and made disparaging remarks about the plaintiffs, leading to further reprimand. (Trending: Democrat Excludes White People From Holiday Party In Controversial Email)
His false statements about the plaintiffs have been addressed, and the court proceedings will determine the financial consequences of his actions.
“I thought I could make comments about counsel,” Giuliani said.
“I will not do it in the future.”
“There’s a lot of accidents going on here, Mr. Giuliani,” Howell said.
Expert testimony highlighted the negative impact of Giuliani’s claims on the plaintiffs’ reputations.
“They’re seeking $40 million. Oh, yeah. They’re seeking $40 million for the damage that I allegedly did to them,” Giuliani wrote.
“One of them did testify that she has no money.”
“They do have an endless number of lawyers in the courtroom, however, for people that don’t have any money.”
Giuliani’s attorney indicated that he would take the stand in the trial.
