Juan Williams, a political analyst at Fox News, repeated a false claim that President Joe Biden’s son, Beau, died in Iraq. In reality, Beau Biden died of cancer in 2015, not in Iraq.

President Biden has previously made this false claim, and Williams echoed it during a discussion about the president’s support for his son Hunter.

“They talk about inflation … inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq and the impact on oil and what Russia’s doing … excuse me, the war in Ukraine,” Biden said. (Trending: New Movie Obamas Helped Make Raises Eyebrows: ‘Don’t Trust White People’)

“I’m thinking Iraq because that’s where my son died.”

Despite the lack of evidence, President Biden has at times suggested a connection between Beau’s brain cancer and his service in Iraq.

Williams’ repetition of this falsehood has been criticized, raising concerns about misinformation being perpetuated even on Fox News.
