Biden Sending ‘Urgent’ Daily Messages to Hunter as Fears Grow

via CBS News

President Joe Biden has been increasingly reaching out to his son, Hunter, expressing deep concern for his well-being as Hunter faces potential prosecution on tax and gun charges.

Biden’s worry stems from Hunter’s history of addiction and the fear that he may relapse.

“I know when he hurts. He doesn’t talk about it much, most of us don’t,” said former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT). (Trending: Democrat Excludes White People From Holiday Party In Controversial Email)

“He has a real human decency, and a lot of it is created by scarring. And he’s worried.”

“You can see it in his eyes, and you can see his shoulders slump,” said one source close to the President.

“He’s so worried about Hunter. And we’re worried it could consume him.”

The president’s messages to his son have been described as urgent and emotional, reflecting his genuine concern.

“It’s Dad. I’m calling to tell you I love you. I love you more than the whole world, pal,” Biden said in a 2018 voicemail.

“You gotta get some help. I don’t know what to do. I know you don’t either.”

Despite pressure on the White House regarding the family’s business dealings, the administration frames Biden’s messages as those of a father concerned for his son’s welfare, not as directives to avoid legal consequences.

“The president has said over and over again: He’s proud of his son,” said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, “and he is proud of him building his life back up.”

Hunter faces serious legal challenges, and Biden is reportedly frustrated with the handling of the situation by the U.S. Attorney General and House Republicans’ investigations into the family’s business activities.
