House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and his colleagues addressed reporters to criticize Hunter Biden after he defied a subpoena for a closed-door deposition.
Comer claimed to have found serious evidence of wrongdoing in the form of loan repayment checks exchanged between members of the Biden family.

A reporter asked Rep. Comer, “Do you acknowledge you haven’t answered that question?”
“That you’ve found no evidence of wrongdoing or criminal conduct?” the reporter followed up.
“We found some very serious evidence,” answered Rep. Comer, and alleged that the controversial checks from 2018 are connected to “influence peddling.”
Rep. Comer pushed back on the reporter saying, “You don’t understand loan documents, I do.”
The reporter then asked if Comer was implying that Biden’s lawyers broke the law.
“What do you think? You’re defending him!” snapped Comer.
