CNN’s Kaitlan Collins challenged Sen. Ron Johnson on his claim about Democrats, pointing out that 10 Wisconsin Republicans served as fake electors for former President Donald Trump in 2020.
Johnson argued that Democrats have done the same in many states throughout history, but Collins refuted this, mentioning multiple states of fake electors, including in Wisconsin.
When pressed for evidence, Johnson struggled to provide specific examples, leading to a tense exchange with Collins. (Trending: Hunter Biden’s Own Memoir Is Coming Back To Haunt Him In Criminal Trial)

Those Republicans “did nothing different than what many Democrats have done in many states throughout our history,” said Rep. Johnson.
“They certainly did, senator,” Collins snapped.
“There were multiple states of fake electors, including in your home state. They’re acknowledging that they were playing a role in trying to improperly overturn the election. That’s what they said.”
Johnson dismissed the “nuisance lawsuit” and repeated his claim about Democrats.
“Which ones, sir?” asked Collins.
“I’m not prepared to give you the exact states, but it’s happened repeatedly,” he claimed.
“It has happened repeatedly. Just go check the books,” he replied.
“Which books?” Collins quickly asked.
“This wasn’t what this interview was gonna be about,” said Johnson.
Johnson eventually promised to provide the information later.
“I’ll come in, and I’ll provide you the information, but I’m absolutely certain about that,” concluded the senator.
“I look forward to your office sending that information,” Collins responded.
“We’ll publish it if it’s accurate,” she added.
