Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has requested over $500 million in reimbursement from President Biden for expenses related to illegal immigration.
This request follows similar appeals from other Democratic governors, who have sought federal assistance without demanding a halt to illegal immigration.
For instance, New York Governor Kathy Hochul asked for taxpayer-funded support for illegal aliens in her state, while Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker highlighted the strain of illegal immigration on taxpayers but did not call for a stop to new arrivals. (Trending: Hunter Biden’s Own Memoir Is Coming Back To Haunt Him In Criminal Trial)

“Additionally, the Governor billed the federal government for $512,529,333 in reimbursements for ongoing border operations resulting from the federal government’s failure to secure the Arizona border,” wrote the governor’s office.
“Moving forward, the state will regularly seek reimbursement from the federal government,” they continued.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said earlier this year, “It is the federal government’s direct responsibility to manage and control of [sic] the nation’s borders.”
