Oklahoma Graduate Student Dies In ‘Unfortunate’ Duck Hunting Accident, Officials Say

A 24-year-old graduate student in Oklahoma died while duck hunting at Sooner Lake.

He drowned after wading into the water to retrieve a duck and hitting a drop off.

His body was found using side imaging technology, and recovered by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s lake unit. (Trending: Tucker Carlson Reveals ‘Secret’ Project He’s Been Working On For Months)

“Water overcame his waders and he did not return to the surface,” the agency stated.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to this young man’s friends and family,” game wardens stated.

“The hunting community is small and close knit, he will be missed.”

The victim has not been publicly identified, but was a graduate student at Oklahoma State University.

The incident occurred in the small town of Red Rock, about 30 miles north of Stillwater.
