Prince Harry has been ordered to pay over $60,000 in legal fees to the Daily Mail tabloid for a failed court challenge in a libel lawsuit.

The lawsuit revolves around an article claiming Harry tried to hide efforts to retain publicly funded protection in the U.K. after leaving his royal role.

Another pending lawsuit concerns the government’s decision to protect him on a case-by-case basis when he visits Britain. (Trending: LeBron James Shares Gun Advice For Americans)

Justice Matthew Nicklin ruled, “The defendant may well submit that this was a masterclass in the art of ‘spinning.’”

The legal battle involves significant sums of money, with the publisher seeking up to $949,000, and Harry and co-claimants having spent $2.1 million to prepare for the case.
