Sen. JD Vance and other senators are questioning the Department of Energy and NASA about their potential contracts with BWG Solutions, a diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting agency.
They argue that the agency promotes racial hatred and violence.
The senators are seeking information on payments or contracts with BWG Solutions and want to know if the services provided comply with federal law.
“The letter also asks for an explanation of how any trainings offered by Gassam Asare or her organization comply with federal law which prohibits the use of federal funds for trainings likely to ‘induce high levels of emotional response or psychological stress in some participants,'” the report found.
Vance has been vocal against DEI initiatives and accused Ohio State University of using racial justice rhetoric to mask “racial hatred” in its hiring and curricula.
