Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis and her team are seeking prison sentences for Donald Trump and his allies in a Georgia criminal case.

The prosecutors allege violations of the racketeering statute in attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump’s allies claim the case is politically motivated, while Willis maintains it’s about enforcing the law.

“We have a long road ahead,” Willis wrote.

“Long after these folks are in jail, we will still be practicing law.”

She has indicated a trial may continue into 2025 and has faced criticism for her handling of the case.

“I believe in that case there will be a trial, I believe the trial will take many months,” Willis stated at a women’s summit.

“And I don’t expect that we will conclude until the winter or the very early part of 2025.”
