Former President Trump holds a significant lead in the Iowa Republican presidential caucuses, with 51% support, as per a recent poll.

This lead has expanded by five points since October, making it the largest recorded lead in the history of the survey.

Trump’s support is driven by evangelical voters and first-time caucus goers, and he is also backed by those who believe he can defeat President Biden in the upcoming general election. (Trending: Elon Musk Condemns Arrest Of Jan 6 Protester)

The poll also indicates that Trump’s supporters are more enthusiastic and committed than those of his GOP rivals.

Political pollster J. Ann Selzer said, “the field may have shrunk, but it may have made Donald Trump even stronger.”

Adding, “I would call his lead commanding at this point.”

Additionally, the Trump campaign is intensifying its efforts leading up to the caucuses, with plans for numerous visits and an aggressive schedule.

“We have an extremely aggressive operation and an extremely aggressive schedule,” said Trump campaign senior adviser Chris LaCivita.

Warning, there are “close to 1,500-1,600 precinct captains throughout the state that, literally, their sole job is to run each individual caucus that takes place and making sure that the list of the targeted voters supporting President Trump show up.”

Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former ambassador Nikki Haley are trailing in the poll, with DeSantis aiming to pull off an upset in Iowa, and Haley garnering support from influential organizations as she seeks to compete in the state.

Other candidates, such as Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and Asa Hutchinson, are also mentioned in the poll results, with varying levels of support.
