Elon Musk called for the firing of Disney CEO Bob Iger due to Disney’s decision to suspend advertising on X (formerly Twitter) following an antisemitic post by Musk.
Musk had initially endorsed a post with antisemitic content, leading to an advertising boycott against X.

“If somebody’s going to try and blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f— yourself,” said Musk at a recent conference.
“Bob Eiger thinks it’s cool to advertise next to child exploitation material,” Musk wrote on X.
“Real stand up guy,” he mocked.

Musk accused Iger of allowing Disney to advertise next to child exploitation material and called for his immediate firing.
“He should be fired immediately,” demanded Musk in another post.
“Walt Disney is turning in his grave over what Bob has done to his company,” Musk added.
Disney, along with other major companies, pulled ads from X, resulting in an expected loss of nearly $75 million in advertising revenue for the platform.
“We know that Elon is larger than life in many respects and that his name is very much connected to the companies he founded or owns,” explained Iger.
“By him taking the position he took in a public manner, we felt that the association was not necessarily a positive one for us,” continued the Disney CEO.
This incident is part of Musk’s ongoing efforts to counter criticism of his company.
