South Carolina’s state treasurer, Curtis Loftis, announced that the state will no longer invest in The Walt Disney Company due to what he perceives as the company’s embrace of far-left activism, which he believes goes against its fiduciary responsibilities.

Loftis criticized Disney for joining in advertising boycotts and attempting to repeal Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Law.

He argued that large corporations should not engage in actions aimed at silencing legitimate debate. (Trending: Biden Bank Records Reveal Another Massive Bombshell)

“Disney has abandoned its fiduciary responsibilities to its investors and customers,” Loftis said, citing the company’s “boycotting legal, taxpaying, employment-creating corporations to further Disney’s political agenda.”

“Multi-billion-dollar corporations should not engage in boycotts designed to silence legitimate debate,” Loftis said.

“Since America’s founding, freedom of speech has been one of its core principles, and Disney should not engage in nefarious practices aimed at silencing those with less power and money.”

This decision comes as Disney plans to build a residential community in North Carolina under its “Storyliving by Disney” brand.
