Ex-MLB All-Star Gets Deported After Conviction For Child Sex Crimes

Former Major League Baseball player Felipe Javier Rivero Blanco, also known as Felipe Vazquez, was deported to Venezuela by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after being convicted of sexual crimes involving a minor.

The charges included statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, and child sexual abuse material.

The victim, a 13-year-old girl, reported the assault, leading to Rivero Blanco’s conviction and a two-year incarceration. (Trending: Hunter Biden Indicted on 9 New Criminal Charges)

Philadelphia Field Office Director Cammilla Wamsley said, “Rivero Blanco’s removal demonstrates ERO [Enforcement and Removal Operations] Philadelphia’s commitment to protecting U.S. persons from predators regardless of their public persona or status.”

ICE emphasized their commitment to protecting U.S. citizens from predators, regardless of public status or persona.

Rivero Blanco had played for the Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Pirates, earning All-Star nods before his arrest.
