A man was found dead in a big cat’s den at a zoo in Pakistan.
Zoo staff discovered the body after seeing the animal with a shoe in its mouth.
The government official believes the individual may have jumped into the den, and rescue workers noted that the victim’s legs appeared to be heavily mauled. (Trending: Elon Musk Condemns Arrest Of Jan 6 Protester)
“When they cleaned the zoo and the dens, they found the (animal) holding a shoe in its mouth,” said government official Zaheer Anwar.
“The staff got suspicious and then they found a body inside the den,” he added.
“Our assessment so far is that this appears to be a lunatic, because a sensible person would not jump into the den,” Anwar said.
“You can see that the den is secured. There are stairs behind the den, maybe he jumped from there.”
The identity of the victim and how he got there is still being investigated.
