San Francisco is experiencing a surge in drug overdoses, with August being the deadliest month on record.

The situation is primarily attributed to the influx of powerful synthetic fentanyl in the illicit drug supply.

Republicans are pointing to Democratic policies, blaming them for the city’s issues and accusing Democratic leaders of allowing an open border and releasing convicted felons. (Trending: Trump Announces Major Promise For 2024)

San Francisco residents continue to support these policies despite the damage they’re doing to the city around them.

“August was the deadliest month on record – with an overdose death every nine hours,” the report read.

“It’s going to be an almost 25% increase over last year – that’s crazy and unfortunate,” one addiction specialist stated.
