President Joe Biden admitted that Donald Trump’s potential 2024 presidential run influenced his decision to seek re-election.

Biden’s remark raised concerns about his age and fitness for office, especially as he often appears incoherent and physically unwell.

The president’s obsession with Trump is notable, as it aligns with the focus of his donors, including Wall Street figures who prioritize defeating Trump. (Trending: Joe Biden Admits He’s ‘Not Sure’ About Running If Trump Wasn’t)

“If Trump wasn’t running, I’m not sure I’d be running,” Biden said to donors.

“But we cannot let him win for the sake of our country.”

“Would you be running for president if Trump wasn’t running?” a reporter later asked.

“I expect so. But look, he is running, and I just, I have to run,” Biden said.

When questioned whether he would drop out if Trump did, the president answered, “No. Not now.”

“Biden’s done a lot of good things. But I think his legacy will not be a good one if he is the nominee,” billionaire Bill Ackman said.

Despite this, recent polls show Trump leading in battleground states, indicating potential challenges for Biden’s re-election bid.
