Six Nevada Republicans, including party officials, were indicted for their involvement in an “alternate elector” scheme declaring Donald Trump as the 2020 election winner in the state.
The individuals face felony charges for submitting fraudulent documents.

“When the efforts to undermine faith in our democracy began after the 2020 election, I made it clear that I would do everything in my power to defend the institutions of our nation and our state,” wrote Ford.
“We cannot allow attacks on democracy to go unchallenged,” he continued.
Adding, “Today’s indictments are the product of a long and thorough investigation, and as we pursue this prosecution, I am confident that our judicial system will see justice done.”
Similar investigations and charges are occurring in other states.
Additionally, ten Wisconsin Republicans settled a civil lawsuit, admitting Joe Biden’s victory and agreeing not to serve as electors in the future if Trump is on the ballot.
