Megyn Kelly and Piers Morgan expressed outrage after two biological men claimed top spots in the Illinois State Women’s Cyclocross Championship, leaving only one spot for a woman on the podium.
They criticized USA Cycling for allowing men to compete in women’s categories.
Tennis player Martina Navratilova highlighted the issue of male bodies taking advantage of unfair rules, while former college swimmer Riley Gaines called for women to stop participating in the competition. (Trending: Bombshell Email Uncovered Between Joe Biden And Hunter)
USA Cycling’s rules allow biological men to compete against biological women, with athletes required to declare their gender identity as female.
“Women are standing up but it’s mostly men who make the rules. And it is male bodies who take advantage of these ridiculous rules,” Navratilova stated.
“[USACycling] has 2 categories for men and none for women,” Riley Gaines said.
“Any woman who concedes and doesn’t compete, I will personally pay them the prize money they’re missing out on,” she added.
“Stop participating in the farce.”
The controversy has sparked concerns about fairness and the rights of female athletes.
