John Kerry, the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate change, expressed confidence in the U.S.’s commitment to climate action, stating that the country’s word is reliable regardless of the presidential election’s outcome.

He made the analogy that the democratic process is like sex, emphasizing the U.S.’s unwavering dedication to the global green transition, even in the event of a Trump presidency.

Kerry acknowledged potential challenges from individuals who do not prioritize climate science but asserted that they would not halt the global movement toward a low-carbon or no-carbon economy. (Trending: Elon Musk Condemns Arrest Of Jan 6 Protester)

“Could he, or someone else who doesn’t want to listen to the science, or doesn’t read about it or care about the facts, have an impact? Yes,” Kerry said of Trump.

But they are “not going to stop what is happening” — a global transition to “a low-carbon or no-carbon economy.”
