Trevor Daniel Jacob, an influencer, has been sentenced to six months in federal prison for staging a plane crash in California to create a YouTube video.
Notably, Jacob destroyed the debris from the crash in order to obstruct the investigation.

It was later revealed that he had a sponsorship deal and never actually planned to complete the flight.
Jacob’s pilot license was later revoked by the Federal Aviation Administration.
