The family that inspired the book and film “The Blind Side” claimed in court filings that ex-NFL player Michael Oher threatened to defame them on social media and TMZ if his money demands weren’t met.
Oher alleged he was not paid his fair share of royalties from the film and made demands for $10 million and later $15 million, claiming he was robbed by his supposed parents.
“If something isn’t resolved this Friday, I’m going to go ahead and tell the world, how I was robbed by my suppose to be parents. That’s the deadline,” Oher texted. (Trending: Joe Biden Admits He’s ‘Not Sure’ About Running If Trump Wasn’t)
“Think how it will look when this comes out.”
The legal dispute involves Oher’s adoption status, a conservatorship, and financial disagreements.
The family’s representative did not immediately respond to comments, and Oher’s representative was unavailable for comment.
