Comedian Bill Burr criticized “idiot liberals” for turning Donald Trump into a martyr and suggested that his return would be great for comedy. Some critics believe the joke was taken too far.
He expressed disbelief at the prospect of a choice between Trump and President Joe Biden in the next election, and wished for a younger leader who would have to live with their decisions.

“I want somebody in their 40s, somebody that’s gonna have to live with their decisions,” he said.
“With any luck, they’ll both die of natural causes before the election and maybe you could get somebody that still has something to live for.”
“Wow,” Kimmel said.
“This year you’re not gonna get a visit from Santa, but you are gonna get a visit from the Secret Service.”
Burr clarified that he wished for Trump and Biden to die peacefully before the election, emphasizing that it was not meant to be taken literally.
