A man was arrested in Paris after allegedly carrying out a stabbing spree near the Eiffel Tower, resulting in one person dead and two injured.

The attacker, identified as Armand R, reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” and expressed anger over the conflict in the Middle East, accusing France of complicity in Israel’s conflict with Hamas.

The assailant, who was born in France with family origins in Iran, is believed to have connections to radical Islamist groups and a history of psychological disorders. (Trending: Tucker Reveals The Moment He Became A Full-Blown Trump Supporter)

“The police have just courageously arrested an assailant attacking passers-by in Paris, around the Quai de Grenelle… A deceased person and an injured person taken care of by the Paris Fire Department. Please avoid the area,” Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said.

This incident is considered another Islamist-inspired terror attack in France, with the attacker previously arrested for assaulting a police officer in 2016.
