Two Nevada State Troopers were struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while assisting a motorist on a Las Vegas freeway.
A suspect has been apprehended, and an investigation is ongoing.

The incident led to the closure of the northbound I-15 near the Spaghetti Bowl interchange.
“This is a devastating loss for Nevada law enforcement, the city of Las Vegas, and our entire state,” the statement read.
“As we mourn these troopers, we will never forget their bravery, courage and sacrifice.
“We are deeply saddened to report that two Nevada State Troopers conducting a motorist assist earlier this morning in Las Vegas were struck by a vehicle and have been confirmed deceased,” NSP wrote on X.
“Our prayers are with the families and loved ones of our fallen Troopers.”
Las Vegas Governor Joe Lombardo expressed his condolences and highlighted the troopers’ bravery and sacrifice.
