White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced questions about President Biden’s stance on Georgia’s election laws and voter suppression.
Biden had previously criticized the laws, labeling them as the “new Jim Crow,” but Jean-Pierre declined to comment further on the issue.
The press briefing also addressed the Florida Democratic Party’s decision to effectively cancel the Democratic primary, and questions about Biden’s financial connections with Hunter’s business dealings. (Trending: Olympic Gold Medalist Sentenced For Jan 6)

Jacqui Heinrich reminded Jean-Pierre, “In 2022, Georgia did have record turnout, but you had argued from the podium that there was voter suppression.”
And then asked, “Does the White House still believe that that was true?”
“I don’t have anything else to add from what I stated last time,” Jean-Pierre responded.
The House Oversight Committee’s investigation claimed that Hunter’s business entity made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest and contradicting previous assertions about their business involvement.
“President Joe Biden claimed there was an ‘absolute wall’ between his official government duties and his family’s influence peddling schemes,” Comer began.
“This was a lie,” charged the committee chairman.
