Liz Cheney, a vocal critic of Donald Trump and his supporters, expressed concern about the possibility of a Republican majority overseeing the 2024 election, hinting that she would prefer a Democratic majority.
Trump responded by criticizing Cheney’s actions and statements, accusing her of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” and working to delete evidence and findings of the J6 Committee.

“You know, we’re facing a situation with respect to the 2024 election where it’s an existential crisis and we have to ensure that we don’t have a situation where an election that might be thrown into the House of Representatives is overseen by a Republican majority,” said Cheney.
“So you would prefer a Democratic majority?” followed up the host.
“I believe very strongly in those principles and ideals that have defined the Republican Party. But the Republican Party of today has made a choice, and they haven’t chosen the Constitution. And so I do think it presents a threat if the Republicans are in the majority in January 2025,” responded Cheney.
On Truth Social, Donald Trump said, “Liz Cheney, on the other hand, went on to lose her seat in Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congressperson in the history of the U.S. She then worked with others on the J6 Committee to delete and destroy the evidence and findings of the committee.”
“Crazy Liz Cheney, who suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome at a level rarely seen before, writes in her boring new book that Keven McCarthy said he came to Mar-a-Lago after the RIGGED election because, ‘the former president was depressed and not eating.'”
“That statement is not true. I was not depressed, I WAS ANGRY, and it was not that I was not eating, it was that I was eating too much,” declared the former president.
“But that’s not why Keven McCarthy was there. He was at Mar-a-Lago to get my support, and to bring the Republican Party together – Only good intentions. Liz Cheney, on the other hand, went on to lose her seat in Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congressperson in the history of the U.S. She then worked with others on the J6 Committee to delete and destroy the evidence and findings of the committee,” said Trump.
