Sen. Mark Kelly and a group of Senate Democrats, including Sen. Angus King, have introduced a new AR-15 ban, emphasizing catchphrases like “lethal capacity weapons” and “gas-operated semiautomatic.”
Kelly described the ban as a “renewed effort” focusing on the lethality of the internal mechanisms, but the gas operation of an AR-15 is not new, dating back to 1959.
