NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wants to ban the “Brotherly Shove” play used by the Philadelphia Eagles, a successful strategy involving two “pushers” assisting the quarterback in a sneak play.
Goodell’s wish may be granted as three members of the NFL’s Competition Committee are rivals of the Eagles.
The play has not been widely replicated by other teams, and it seems the Eagles will need to find a new short-yardage play.
