United Nations Women Rep. Sarah Hendriks faced criticism for not directly condemning Hamas terrorists despite evidence of their sexual violence against Israeli women during an attack.
When pressed by a CNN anchor to “call out” Hamas for the October 7 atrocities, Hendriks avoided directly addressing the issue, stating that UN Women supports impartial investigations and deferring to UN-led inquiries.
Critics accused her of evasive language and cowardice, questioning the UN’s effectiveness in addressing such issues. (Trending: Greta Thunberg Caught on Video Going Full Anti-Semite)
CNN’s @biannagolodryga asks @UN_Women representative @sarah_hendriks:
“Is there a reason you cannot specifically call out Hamas and the mounting evidence now over 7 weeks about the atrocities committed Oct 7th, because that’s the crux of the issue here, it's not just condemning… pic.twitter.com/t9MrP6tdG5

“Is there a reason, though, Sarah, that you can’t specifically call out Hamas and the mounting evidence now over 7 weeks that Israeli investigators have collected, that we’ve shown our viewers, about the atrocities they committed specifically on Oct 7th?” asked Golodryga.
“Because I think that’s the crux of the issue here, it’s not just condemning sexual violence against women and in any war in general, but specifically what occurred on October 7th, perpetrated by Hamas,” charged the CNN host.
“Indeed,” answered Hendricks.

“UN Women always supports impartial, independent investigations into any serious allegations of gender-based or sexual violence. And within the UN family, these investigations are led by the officer of the High Commissioner of Human Rights,” continued the rep.
“And just to provide a little bit of context in terms of UN Women’s role, UN Women specifically provides and has extensive knowledge on gender-based violence and provides — supports investigations as we do with all UN investigations,” explained Hendricks.
Adding, “And so consequently, in this context, and within the UN system, it is the independent international commission of inquiry, which for us has the mandate to investigate all alleged violations.”
Actress Patricia Heaton condemned Hendricks’ response, saying, “Some of the scariest players in this conflict are the spineless dystopian bureaucrats like the Kafka-esque @sarah_hendriks who spew carefully cultivated word salad to avoid saying ‘Jews don’t count.’
“She’ll go far at the @UN and @UN_Women.,” quipped the actress.
“This answer is textbook gobbledygook,” contributed Chef Andrew Gruel.
“I don’t want to piss off any of my terrorists friends so I’ll just throw a ton of words out there and pretend I’m nuanced,” mocked the TV foodie.
“It may have seemed like ‘slippery’ talk two decades ago but now it’s just low IQ junk. Just say, ‘yeah what happened to women October 7th was horrific.’ Done,” he concluded.
