CNN’s new show “King Charles,” starring Charles Barkley and Gayle King, had a disappointing debut with only 501,000 viewers, making it the lowest rated premiere for CNN in at least a decade.
This comes after CNN’s head, Chris Licht, was fired earlier this year due to poor ratings, and “King Charles” was one of the last programs he greenlit.

Comparatively, MSNBC’s “Last Word With Lawrence O’Donnell” drew in 1.57 million viewers, and Fox News’ “Gutfeld!” typically averages two million in the same time slot.
