Gun ownership in the United States is at its highest level in almost 25 years, with 52% of voters owning a gun or having one in their household.
A majority of voters believe that gun ownership is necessary for self-defense, and many blame “woke politicians” for rising crime.

Multiple states have passed constitutional carry laws, and one pollster noted that gun ownership has grown significantly in the last decade.
“In the last ten years, we’ve grown [10 points] in gun ownership,” pollster Micah Roberts of Public Opinion Strategies said.
“That’s a very stunning number,” he added.
Despite bipartisan support for gun ownership, concerns about safety and security are driving this trend.
