Joe Biden is facing backlash after apologizing for doubting Hamas’ casualty reports in Gaza.

After initially questioning the numbers, Biden backpedaled in a meeting with Muslim American activists, fearing that his support of Israel could cost him votes.

Biden reportedly said, “I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed,” when first asked about deaths. (Trending: Greta Thunberg Caught on Video Going Full Anti-Semite)

One day later, Biden reportedly told reporters, “I’m sorry. I’m disappointed in myself. I will do better,” about casting doubt on the death reports.

The president’s political worries are focused on the upper Midwest, where many Muslim Americans live and vote.

There is concern that his support for Israel could turn Muslim voters against him.

While Biden publicly support Israel, this apology has raised concerns that the president is privately pandering to pro-Hamas sympathizers behind closed doors.

Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has continued to warn Americans, “If we don’t win now, then Europe is next and you’re next.”
