Pope Francis appeared unwell and wheezy at a public event, limiting his speaking and requiring an aide to read his main text due to a flu and respiratory issues.
This followed the cancellation of his trip to the COP28 climate summit in Dubai on doctor’s orders.

“Although the Holy Father’s general clinical condition has improved with regard to the flu and inflammation of the respiratory tract, doctors have asked the pope not to make the trip,” a statement said.
The 86-year-old pontiff has been experiencing health problems, including difficulty walking due to a knee ailment.
