Bernie Marcus, the retired co-founder of Home Depot and a billionaire Republican, stated he would likely donate to Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, even if Trump is convicted in one of his pending criminal cases.

Marcus, who supported Trump in 2016 and 2020, believes the charges against Trump are exaggerated.

Although he indicated he wouldn’t be a major donor, Marcus expressed his support for Trump in the primaries and as the GOP nominee. (Trending: Donald Trump Confronts Bud Light CEO)

“I think so. Because I think it’s all trumped up,” Marcus said.

“Of course, I’m going to support him to some extent, but I’m not one of his big givers, that’s for sure,” Marcus added.

“We cannot let his brash style be the reason we walk away from his otherwise excellent stewardship of the United States during his first term in office,” he previously wrote of Trump.

“Now, do I agree with every move that he makes? No, I don’t,” Marcus said.

“But the truth is he has produced more than anybody else. He has.”

“If we look at this country, I would say that we are better off today than we were eight years ago or six years ago.”

In the past, Marcus faced backlash for endorsing Trump, but he continues to praise Trump’s leadership.
