A judge has ordered the FBI to disclose information related to murdered Democrat staffer Seth Rich, including data from his personal and work laptops, as well as a DVD and tape drive.
Rich, who worked for the DNC, was killed in 2016, and his death has been used to fuel right-wing conspiracy theories.
The ruling is part of an ongoing freedom of information battle between the FBI and an attorney representing the plaintiff, who sought information on Rich’s potential involvement in DNC email leaks. (Trending: Donald Trump Confronts Bud Light CEO)
Here's the order requiring the @FBI to start processing records from Seth Rich's personal laptop and work laptop. I reached out to @Jim_Jordan's weaponization subcommittee in late August. So far, they're not interested in Seth Rich.https://t.co/oYV9ME18b8

The FBI had initially claimed they could not locate relevant files, but it was later revealed they had over 20,000 pages of potentially relevant material, including some directly related to Rich.
Texas Judge Amos L. Mazzant ordered “a timeline for the disclosure of information on Seth Rich’s personal laptop, Seth Rich’s work laptop, the DVD and tape drive within 14 days following issuance of this Memorandum of Opinion and Order.”
The FBI is now required to produce a Vaughn index addressing the information it possesses on the compact disk containing images of Rich’s personal laptop.
